As tempting as it was to relax in the port city, you knew that you couldn't be distracted from what you were here for and what better way to test your Pokémon skills than by entering a gym battle? From what you read on your map, there were eight gyms in total located throughout the region, each governed by a Gym Leader who is specialised towards a specific Pokémon type. Your problem now was deciding which one to challenge first.
The closest one to you right now was the Coumarine gym which was situated in and around a giant tree. You didn't even have to guess what type it specialised in. From the looks of it, in order to even challenge the leader, you'd have to complete a vine-based obstacle course which included climbing and swinging on vines. You felt somewhat confident that you have the stamina to at least attempt it but that was about the extent of your confidence.
Thankfully you had other options as well. The next two closest gyms were the Shalour gym to your left that was ran by Korrina and the Lumiose gym to your right that was ran by Clemont. From what you heard from the Shalour gym, Korrina specialised in fighting-type Pokémon and her gym is essentially a roller-blade rink. You also remembered thinking how cute Korrina was, as a memory of her picture entered your brain. On the other hand, the Lumiose gym was located in the biggest city in the region (and maybe the entire world). Funnily enough, it's also the Prism Tower and at the centre of the city. But were you up to the challenge of battling Clemont's electric-type Pokémon?
If those three options don't fancy you, there are other options as well!
