The name on your ticket read 'Mossdeep City', located in the far eastern portion of the Hoenn region. According to the map from your backpack, it is situated on a large island and is home to the Mossdeep Space Center where shuttles and rockets are launched into space. More importantly for you however, is the inclusion of the Mossdeep Gym that specialises in psychic-type Pokémon and double battles. From what you heard from the fellow cruise passengers, the gym is more focused around the idea of testing your team through the connected bonds and cohesive communication between a trainer and their Pokémon rather than brute strength or speed. This is seemingly further supported by the fact that the joint gym leaders - who are brother and sister - can read each other's minds through twin telepathy. With this in mind, you decide to bring your two closest Pokémon with you; your starter Pokémon and your fully-evolved Pidgeot that you grew up with back in your home region.
Once the ferry reached Mossdeep, you disembarked onto the dockside, greeted by a small group of locals dressed in dark blue clothes and trousers. They appeared to be welcoming visitors to the city and handing them maps to guide people to various locations throughout the town. Despite how nice they seem, you were more focused on other ventures and you quickly made your way to the Mossdeep Gym, ready to challenge the leaders.
With confidence, you walked through the gym doors and are greeted to a large spacious arena themed around space and astrology, fitting for a psychic-type gym. The walls and ceiling were painted black and white, with stars shining brightly overhead. In the centre of the room was a circular platform surrounded by six different coloured circles. Each circle contained a single pillar with a logo, the colours and design corresponding to different Pokémon elemental types. Unsurprisingly, the psychic type symbol was smack right in the middle, several times larger than all the others and covering the circular platform.
You were so awestruck with the grandeur of the interior that you barely noticed the young gym leaders walking towards you until they spoke... in cute but creepy unison.
"Welcome to the Mossdeep Gym! If you couldn't tell, we're twins and the current leaders here. Are you a challenger?"
You were about to open your mouth to answer their question, but were interrupted by the female twin who was looking at your eyes with a confused gaze.
"No, don't answer... I can sense your thoughts in your head. You're distracted because you're thinking about...
