Without thinking about the possibility that Jack could have brought his shrink ray with him, Jack grabs his laptop and plants it on his desk. He looks around and notices that most of the class does the same. One of the students who doesn't is sitting right next to Jack and nudges him, prompting Jack to look at them.
"Hi, I'm Nora," the girl introduces and smiles. Jack observed that Nora had tan, smooth skin, long, flowing, black hair, hazel eyes, and what he thought was a very pleasant grin. "Uh, hi, I'm Jack," he introduced back. "Listen, can I give you my number so you can forward me some of the information on the syllabus? I forgot to pack any notebooks," Nora asked. Jack shrugged. "Sure". He wrote down his number, like he did for Emerson, and handed the paper to Nora. She smiled again and thanked Jack, then returned her attention to the professor. Jack smiled and was pleased that he was able to make another person's acquaintance. Likewise, Jack then focused to the presentation at hand and began writing down the important information.
About forty-five minutes later, the class ended. Everyone began packing their stuff up, and as most people were disbursing, Jack felt a hand tap him on the shoulder. It was Nora, and there was another girl standing next to her. "Hey, Jack, this is my friend Andrea, do you mind if I give her your number? She did the same thing as I and could use some assistance," Nora explained. The modestly-built Andrea gave Jack a slight wave, to which Jack waved back and confirmed that she could have his number. Each of the girls thanked him, then began walking away. "Wait!" Jack said. The girls turned back around. "How about I have your numbers? I can set up a group chat we can use for this class," he offered. Andrea and Nora agreed to his offer, then proceeded to put their numbers in his contact list. Jack thanked them back, and as they were walking away, thought he saw a glimmer in Andrea's blue eyes when she gave him a glimpse.
Without taking a second thought about it, Jack left the classroom and proceeded back to his dorm. Inside his room, Jack set up the group chat with Andrea and Nora as he promised, then texted them to let them know he had set it up. They each responded with a like to his text. After about an hour of just hanging out in his dorm, Jack begins to prepare to go to his next class when he notices a very similar device on his desk. "Oh, I left it on my desk," Jack thought aloud. He reached to grab the device and take it with him to his next class, but decided otherwise. "Nah, I should probably get to know a few more people before I get active with this thing". With that, Jack left the shrink ray on his desk and left to go to his next class.
