Alexander decided to head for his favorite training spot, a secluded waterfall up the hill. It was a perfect place to learn about his new ability as is quite far from any main roads and almost no pokemon lives nearby, he could learn without any interruptions and not have another "incident" like the one with the Mightyena.
After a short walk from his home, he reached a cave entrance which didnt look too inviting if you didnt know what was inside, thus why most people feared to go in. The path in was dark and confusing for the ammount of branching tunnels that headed to another parts of the hill or deeper into the ground, but the riolu had some tricks as with a small hand movement he produced a small ball of aura that served as a lantern. He arrived at the waterfall where a small pond was formed which make the water flow to other parts of the cavern, in the middle of that pond was a large rock illuminated by an opening in the cave's ceiling. This was the place where Alexander always go to when he needed to focus and train.
He quickly sat in the middle of the rock and started to meditate, to focus his aura with every plant of the cavern and with the flowing water. Once in sinc with his surroundings he practiced his ability to separate himself from his body but trying to simulate his state of mind of the night before. He was able to cast a small part of his aura into a plant growing from the rock and he found out that small part of himself being absorbed by the plant. While still in his own body, he could feel the plant as a part of him, he could feel what the plant felt, see what it lived through, but most importantly he feeled a certain amount of control over it, like if the plant could move he would be able to dictate what it would do with his brain, like he was moving a part of his own body.
This explained what happened last night, he send a small part of his aura to the Mightyena and he was able to influence his actions. He could actually mind control other pokemon.
But then he wondered "What would happen if instead of sending a small part, i send ALL of my aura" Filled with curiosity he started practicing, focusing his life essence into his paw like he would with an aura sphere.
After many failed attempts, he send a pulse of energy into the air but he fell flat into the ground as if he was knocked out. Weirdly, Alexander didnt felt the fall... and he was still standing... and he could see his own body...
The riolu realized that the energy he throw was all his aura, and by that his whole soul. Before he could process it further, he sense a feeling like he was being pulled by something only to find out that he was being sucked right back into his body.
Once he woke up and assimilated what happened, he came to the conclusion that he could send his aura to another pokemon and become them by controlling their bodies as if it where his own. Amazed by his new powers, he really wanted to test them on another pokemon.
Suddenly he hears something coming trough the cave, and quickly hide himself.
