Chapter #2

The Ditto that forgot

    by: RushAlias Author IconMail Icon
"This was bad. Oh this was bad," Kopi the Ditto thought as he slither out of the dungeon. He had just made the biggest mistake any Ditto could ever make. One that was absolutely deadly to his species.....he had forgotten. He had forgotten his one and only move, transform. He cursed himself as he tried to find a save place to lay low. Transform was literally the only move his species could learn, it was a move everyone one of them was born with instinctually. A ditto that couldn't transform was like a magikarp that didn't know splash. It was unheard off. It also meant that he was now vulnerable to any attack because he couldn't fight back. All he could do was struggle and that alone would ultimately kill him at worse, and render him unconscious at best.

As Kopi exited the dungeon, he immediately went to the top of a nearby tree. With any luck any big aggressive Pokemon that may pass underneath would not notice him. If he could make it to a nearby town then perhaps he could find a move tutor to relearn Transform, if not....well he didn't want to think what might happen. Now in the treetops, Kopi found himself moving about trying to avoid any encounters with any bug or grass types or flying types that may be residing here. For the most part he didn't find any trouble. He was able to move from branch to branch all the while avoiding the many larger Pokemon that roamed beneath him.

Eventually though his luck had run out. Just as he was crossing by a campsite, he heard a crack. Turning his slimy face back he saw the tree branch he was standing on starting to break. "Oh furret." He cursed. He couldn't make it back in time to escape and soon he found himself falling along with the tree branch. Luckily he didn't break any bones, mostly because he didn't have any. That being said he did land in the middle of some Pokemon's resting spot. Fortunately for him that tree branch had landed on the Pokemon's head now rendering them unconscious.

"That's a relief," He thought as he contemplated leaving things as is to avoid more trouble. That was until an idea crossed his mind as he turned back and looked at the unconscious pokemon. As a Ditto, his species specialized in copying the shapes and appearances of others, the reason they could do that was because they could use transform to rearrange their cells to match their target. "Perhaps if I get closer....I can do it again." Kopi thought as moved to the unconscious Pokemon. All he needed was a little touch and then maybe he could turn into a copy of this Pokemon to at least defend himself until he reached the town.

However Kopi was in for a shock as the moment he touched the unconscious Pokemon, he felt as if something started tugging his body. The next thing he knew he was being pulled into the unconscious Pokemon. "Oh crap." He realized too late. Instead of merely copying the Pokemon, his dna was merging completely with them. In matter of seconds, Kopi had been absorbed into the unconscious Pokemon, his cells perfectly merging with their own.

When Kopi came back to...he found he had become the unconscious Pokemon.
