Summary: Mutants are often said to be the result of evolution; humanity going through an evolutionary shift. This is in no small part why some humans hate mutants, for rendering them the second most evolved race on the planet. Therefore it should come as no surprise when a scientist decides to create a device to reverse evolution. An all female team of X-Men arrive to stop them, but end up getting shot by a ray from this device, while initially they seem unharmed, they so discover that they are slowly devolving into primates.
Can they find a way to halt or reverse their transformation? Or are they doomed to become evolutionary throwbacks. Also, did their devolution rob them of the X-Gene or are they supermonkeys now?
Title: Getting Beasty

Summary: At her request, Hank McCoy is performing an experiment on Rouge; tired of having to avoid all human contact, she has made a descision; either Hank finds a way to give her control of her powers, or he removes them outright.
However something goes wrong, there is a large explosion and somehow Rouge is transformed into a female version of Beast. While it is not exactly what she wanted, when both Hank and Scott reflexively touch her with no ill effects, even after learning her transformation is possibly permanent, Rouge considers it a fair deal, since she no longer has to fear human touch...
Then, hearing the news, Kitty Pryde envelops her longtime friend in a long overdue hug, and it turns out that, while Rouge's touch no longer effects men, it does effect women. Not in the way it did before; Rouge doesn't gain phasing powers and Kitty doesn't get drained of life force. Instead Kitty, like Rouge before her, is transformed into a She-Beast.
As both Rouge and Kitty are forced to adapt to their new bodies, and Hank tries to find a way to remove this new power of Rouge, there are questions to explore; is Rouge's transformative touch just hers or is Kitty also able to change women with a touch? Is it Rouge's (and maybe Kitty's) skin that must be touched for the transformation to take hold, or does her (their) fur hold the same power, if so is it just fur attachedt to her (their) bodies, or when she (they) start to shed, will it send little transforming strands across the house. If any of that is true, how long until every X-Woman becomes a She-Beast, or can Hank fix things in time (and if he can, will Kitty, Rouge and anyone else who gets turned in the mean time still be trapped as She-Beasts)? And will the transformation rob Kitty and any future victims of their original powers, as it did to Rouge, or will they retain them alongside their new Beastyness (and possibly a transforming touch)?
