Chapter #7
Barby World
by: Unknown
As they walk through the grass, the two tiny creatures notice another boost and shrink smaller than the surrounding grass, which now looks more like a vast jungle than a parking lot. "Cam!" Steve exclaims. "We have to hurry up now or we'll be too small to be noticed!"
They decide to make a robber's ladder and get an overview of which way the adults are sitting. Cam sees a couple of young women sitting not too far away and then points out the direction they need to go. On their way towards the women, Steve sees something moving menacingly in the grass coming their way. The two panic but still try to keep the direction to get to the women. But the threat is getting closer, and the panic is growing when suddenly a ladybug, which for them was the size of a small car, turns out to be the threat. Fortunately, it wasn't too interested in the tiny men as long as they stayed out of her way. The tiny men watch as it scampers by, moving grass blades around it.
Wanting to see how much further they are, Cam climbs onto a blade of grass and realizes they don't have to walk far to get to the women. They make a final push to enlist the women's help, and they feel saved and relieved, but this joy is short-lived when they are horrified to discover that the two women are completely stationary with blank, doll faces devoid of real emotion besides the permanent smile they were crafted with. They were dolls, and they were the size of twin city buildings, absolutely enormous compared to the tiny men who had to crane their heads all the way back to look up at their eyes.
Steve and Cam couldn't believe it, but they were barely ankle-high on a doll, and as if all that wasn't bad enough, a giant shadow appeared behind them. It was the little big girl who wanted to keep playing with her dolls. Cam and Steve had to act fast as this may be their last chance to be seen.
