Chapter #8The One Exempt by: φως εί   “Why hello there! Please make yourself comfortable. Come, take a seat. Now, you’re most certainly wondering where you are. Well I can tell you this is not a matter of where you are when. You don’t exist, not any longer. Oh, so how am I communicating with you if you don’t exist? Simple. Because I too also no longer exist though unlike you, I can still continue on regardless. Nevermind that. You’re probably wondering what happened. Well allow me to show you..”
“Yes, that’s right. You were eaten and your very souls consumed and obliterated by Sakura and should she continue she’ll do likewise to all of your loved ones and then the rest of humanity but if you work with me, I can prevent that. Unlike you, given my nature I am not subject to her powers. Her powers you ask? Sakura feeds off of the attention given to her but there’s a catch; She can only feed off of those who are a part of her universe. Those who are not and those who no longer exist she cannot feed off of, so here’s what I am suggesting. I’ll save you all this time and in return you shall allow me to enter within. What do I mean? Possession. I’ll bring you back to existence and with my assistance you shall take control of the military forces the world over in order to stop Sakura and afterwards you shall return to your own bodies… that is assuming you still have them. If not, then I shall possess them. Oh and there’s also a good chance you’ll forget everything afterwards, well at least as far it goes with that fateful event. What do you say?”
“Why am I making this deal? Eh, it’s a condition of my own power as well as… limitations. Limitations such as I can’t force you to take this deal, I myself am unable to kill yet alone erase someone from existence though I can empower others oh and you also have to be informed of the intricacies of the deal meaning you must be of age, of sound mind… basically imagine contract law but anomalous. Well that’s the simplest way I can put it. In return for possessing what remains of you when I bring you back, I must also provide you with the means to stop her this time. Failure to uphold any part of our agreement will result in our contract being nullified which means Sakura will then be free to enslave all of humanity, oh but that doesn’t really matter to you since none of you no longer exist. So what will it be? Quickly now, time waits for no one, even for those who no longer exist.”
“Excellent. Then as agreed upon…”
Piles of bones lay scattered abound. With their attention focused on the severely damaged giantess no one is there to notice that a couple of them have risen up, their flesh made new. And amidst those who have been brought back no one that the one who saved them now walks amongst them with their own agenda. Clad in metal with spiked shoulder pads, high metallic boots with a white cowl covering their dark purple mage’s wear they stand with their waist length flowing pink hair and glowing pink eyes. A cruel smile cracks on their face.
“Well I’ve kept my side of the bargain, fufufu. So now all I have to do is wait. I wonder. What sort of DEITY shall you become, Sakura? Will you be a cruel and relentless one? Shall you try and dominate me? What shall you do when you realize you cannot and nor can you permanently erase me? Whatever it is, I shall be there to witness it all. Oh sure, my attention on you won’t empower you but I’m sure you’ll manage. Aha. Ahahahaha! It’s been a while since I’ve walked amongst the existing. Udaspes Folus walks amongst you all again! Now let’s see.. In about 30 seconds you shall rewind time to a year. Fufufu. Well Sakura. Whatever happens next is fine by me. You could also simply ignore me and that will be fine by me. So long as-
Udaspes Folus stops dead in their tracks as they feel a burning sensation on their back.
Where is it?! Where’s that adoration directed at me coming from? If this adoration continues I’ll have to start everything over again! I can’t let that happen, it’s so boring there! It’s so embarrassing to be weak to the powers of love, specifically love directed at me but I must prevail. After all, I want to witness what happens next.
