In a last ditch effort Thomas pushes against her raising his hands from the bed. Katie's eyes go wide as she realized that after that 2nd shrinking she didn't have any power to keep her strength increased. Sitting up Thomas shoves her off his bed. Before he could get back at her Kate is on her feet fleeing the scene with a giggle. "We'll play later shrimp," she taunts as she leaves. Kate knew if he caught her a scream would bring their mom running so he wasn't a threat to her.
Katie was going over to Isabel's house so she only went in there to shrink Thomas a bit and just like she planned her stunt was causing Thomas to give her much more power than usual. At his smaller size by the time she got home she should be able to take him easily. Although maybe if she told Isabel about her power they could make a plan to make her even stronger.
