Bethany answered the knock at the door, only to find Haley standing there, staring down at her feet with an apologetic look on her face. “G’morning Bethany,” Haley said slowly, “I, uh, just wanted to apologize about last night. That wasn’t very nice of me, even if it was just a game.”
Bethany forced a smile and shrugged. “Hey, it’s okay,” she said, putting a hand on Haley’s shoulder, “I guess I got a little worked up last night too.”
Haley looked up at her, her face unreadable. “No, it’s not enough to just apologize Beth, I need to make it up to you.” As she said this, Haley’s left hand snaked its way down Bethany’s pants while the other found its way under her shirt and began to fondle her breasts.
Bethany was shocked and tried to pull away, but found to her horror that she couldn’t move her body at all. Instead, her body responded in kind, with her hands pulling Haley by the waist into a intimate embrace.
“Wait, H-haley, stop! I don’t swing that way,” she said as she forced every ounce of will power to disentangle herself from sudden assault by the other woman.
A gruff, otherworldly voice from high up caught her attention. “Oh, is that so? Your body seems to think otherwise.” After he finished the sentence, wires shot down from above and attached themselves to her limbs and joints. She could feel them moving her against her will, forcing her to lead Haley to her bedside, strip off her clothes and push her down.
“No!”, she yelled futilely. “No, this isn’t me Haley, I’m not doing this!”
Again, from above. “Looks like the head doesn’t want to play ball. In that case, why don’t we toss it away?”
To her relief, her body stopped assaulting Haley, but her peace was quickly interrupted as her own hands reached up to her neck and began to push and pull. Quickly, with a pop, her head and neck came off her body. She had a split second to realize what was happening before she was tossed haphazardly across the room. She was caught, however, by someone else.
She was spun around to come face to face with the skeletal figure of a man in a hoodie. His toothy, rotten grin unnerved Bethany in ways she could never imagine.
“Looks like it’s game over for you Bethany! Your about as useful as a basketball now.” He rubbed his chin with his free hand. “Speaking of that…”. he turned around and gripped her head in both hands and threw her through the air. As she spun, she saw a basketball hoop come into focus, and just as she was about to slam into the backboard…

Bethany awoke with a start, covered in sweat and breathing heavily. Then screamed again as her eyes focused on the thing before her. It was her body, headless and very real, with its pants down and getting ready to shove its muff into her frightened face. Her yells and moans were muffled in the middle of the night. Meanwhile, the others dreams were being similarly disturbed.
