Your suitemate’s name for himself (and his species) is unpronounceable by humanoid species such as humans. So he has adopted the name ‘Jordan’ and his race has adopted the name ‘Sapiants.’

In fairness, the Sapiants can’t pronounce humanoid languages, and have to use electronic translation devices to communicate with humans and other sanctuary races.
