Well, your name is unpronounceable by humans and many of your non-Ghataar allies. When you discovered you were going to be stationed for two years on the planet the local sentient species called Earth, you decided to adapt the moniker of Mike. For some reason, you enjoyed the sound of the name,. If you had to be called something by these humans besides your own name, Mike seemed to be the best alternative.
Instead, you ended up being called Cheetara, or Chee for short.
It started during your first couple of weeks on Earth. Even though you are a trained fighter pilot and instructor, your first few weeks on Earth was spent playing diplomat. These humans needed to be reassured that there were indeed "good" aliens.
You were attending an evening meal at the home of a high ranking human government official, In an adjacent room was one of the official's youngest offsprings, watching something called a 'cartoon.' The cartoon in question was called Thundercats 2011. The government official was introducing you to the offspring waitching the cartoon when a character named Cheetera appeared on the screen.
The offspring immediately started referring to you as Cheetera. It was uncanny how, even though the humans had created the 'cartoon' in question twenty years ago, they had created a remarkable likeness of a Ghataar female. The humans in attendance weren't as equally amazed by this coincidence. For some reason, they were more focused on the offspring labeling you Cheetara. They found it amusing for some reason.
After that evening, you ceased being Mike and henceforth were referred to as either Cheetera or Chee.
