Interested in just what she was desperate to find, you stick your head out of a hole in the hamper side, and watch as Tina pulls out a necklace.
Upon finding the necklace, she quickly hugs it and has a happy smile, one that is gentle and kind and uncharacteristic of her usual self.
Upon looking at the necklace further, your hit by a happy sense of nostalgia.
When Tina was younger, you remember how she had really wanted that necklace, so you got it for her Christmas that year. She was extremely happy and even kissed you on the cheek, saying you were the best.
Then after getting it, though coincidentally you always believed, a lot of good things happened to Tina. So she started calling it her lucky necklace and wore it whenever something important was going to happen.
You always found it funny she’d believe in such superstitions but she is Rae’s twin…
Having found her necklace, she tosses the no longer needed jeans into the hamper and puts the necklace on.
“Phew. I’d be devastated if I couldn’t find it. I’d never forgive myself for losing it and I’d never be able to look Josh in the eyes knowing I lost it. With this I have the confidence and hopefully the luck to succeed tonight…” Tina says as she rubs the necklace with fondness around her neck and heads out of her room to leave.
Becoming curious about what exactly she meant, you wonder if you should get out of your hiding spot and follow her?
After debating and thinking over the alternative, staying in her dirty clothes, you decide it’s better to tag along.
Sliding out of the hole, you climb down the side of the hamper and quickly dash to reach your cousin, and hop to grab the back of her boot.
She continues to leave her room along with you, and heads to her destination.
