In 1979, CBS aired the first episode of The Dukes of Hazzard. In 1985, when the final season of the series aired, Dukefest began in the small town of Danger, Georgia, which fancied itself a real life fill in for Hazzard.

The first year of Dukefest was mainly a few costumed individuals, some memorabilia and the local theater playing Dukes of Hazzard reruns,

Twenty-five years later, and Dukefest 2010 has become a major festival that stretches over three days. There are vendors selling anything and everything even remotely related to the franchise, trivia panels, a stock car race, special guest stars...you name it, and if it involves some element of the Dukes of Hazzard franchise, then you can probably find it at Dukefest.
