A Decisive Moment

It had been a long day of classes. Senior year was grueling and summer hadn't ended yet so it was boiling hot on campus. I could hardly think during the lecture from Professor Hofsted. My name's Garret I'm 21, and finally I'm finishing up college. I'm a bigger guy, used to play football back in highschool, quit in college so I could focus on studying. Kept in shape at the campus gym. I might look big and hulking but I'm getting a degree in Bio. The walk from campus to my dorm was always pleasant. Great to be outside.

I was keying into my dorm room when I heard a rustle coming from behind me. I turned and I saw a glowing light headed toward me. I tried to dodge out of the way in time. Trying to parse what the hell was happening
