Heather 'The Immortal'

For those who find this diary, pray I am not around to catch you reading it. That said, let us begin... My name is Liv Le Vance, I was born into a very wealthy and influential family who loves to travel. However, to my parents, my sister, Kit and I were nothing more than trophies to use in making them look like the wholesome family type. Other than that, their butlers and maids took care of us.

Kit took to drinking just as she reached the age of thirteen no thanks to our now former head of security, Mr. Clarence Mayweather. He tried to get me interested in drinking too but I was a bit more strong willed. I reported him to our parents and he was fired on the spot for tarnishing the family reputation. Only it did not end there. Mom and dad leaned hard on Kit, telling her she should have known better which only pushed her towards the bottle more. I fear it will take a lot to get her to give it up.

I joined the Problem Child Gang as a way to get away from everything for a while and I was fond of adventure. I had developed incredible speed, a sharp eye for details and I was a crack shot with any weapon handed to me. Still, my little adopted family was far from perfect. We used made up names when talking to each other while on the job to help hide our identities.

Greg 'The Ghost' was like a science fiction ninja. His fighting style was incredible but he was way overconfident for my taste. We all reluctantly allowed him to be leader due to his strategic thinking.

Then there was Tex 'The Mighty'; he was a piece of work. He had seemingly unlimited strength and endurance as well as a healing power he was able to share to some extent. Despite it all, though, he was reckless and impulsive; he truly believed he was invincible, indestructible.

Finally, there was Sam 'The Machine' He had the strange ability to 'talk' to and control machines with his mind. That alone was incredible but he also had the ability to build anything he put his mind to and pilot any vehicle with expert ease. Only, to spite his power, he fears becoming corrupted by it. It would be all too easy for him to empty out an ATM for example. Temptation is his worst enemy.

So, there you have it, my little happy adopted family, The Problem Child Gang. They are my boys and I am constantly having to keep them in line....

I turned away from my diary, hearing my cellphone ring. Sighing, I picked up on the third ring. "Talk to me."

It was Greg... "We have a situation." Dryly, he said. "How soon can you be ready?"

"I'm on my way now." Calmly, I said.

After ending the call, I closed and locked my diary before sliding it under my mattress and stepped into my walk in closet. There, I closed the door and another door opened further inside. I walked through to a spiraling staircase I followed to a series of underground tunnels that spread out into all directions where I met my team.

"What is the situation?" Sighing, I demanded.
