Keeping up with Marla, she linked her depop in an Instagram story. Browsing through, you found a pair of her used converse in which the pictures showed the imprints of her soles.
Instantly purchased as it was honestly cheap, and just the thought of smelling her shoes was incentive enough. Shipping seemed a bit pricey so you contacted her asking if you could pick it up since you were in the same state.
After a wait, she replied enthusiastically and she gave you an address to meet her at.
Running late, you meet her at the park. As it was fall, the weather was cool so Marla had a zip up jacket and white pants however she had Birkenstocks on showing her unpainted toes.
She hadn't noticed you yet but she was browsing her phone with her feet kicked up on a table, wiggling the sandals off her toes.
You gulp and announce yourself but your voice cracks. Marla looks up and stands up to greet you. She eyes your feet and sees that they definitely aren't the right size.
"Hi nice to meet you... hmm don't you think these shoes are a bit big for you" she said puzzled.
Stammering you explain they'll be a gift. Marla doesn't think too much of it and you hand her the money for the shoes. She thanks you for saving her shipping costs and you tell her how much you love her content. She smiles then begins to walk off.
You came this far and odds are you weren't going to see her again so you got desperate. You call out to her. You ask her if she would be willing to sell her birkens.
She was perplexed. "Well maybe, but who would wanna buy them? They were old and dirty, being used very frequently anywhere I went". You offer her $100 for them. Marla's eyes bulge open.
"Um... ya know that more than I paid for them new. Plus they're the only shoes I have with me. I don't know if I wanna go around barefoot". She said examining them.
You tell her going barefoot helps reconnect her to the earth/god and she has nice feet anyway. Marla laughs and thanks you.
Marla kicks off her shoes and grips the ground with her toes. You ask how it feels and she breathes a sigh of relaxation.
"Hey you're kinda right, I do feel more at one with my savior. But I can't take $100 for these, I can go lower"
Getting bold you offer $75 but ask if she can walk on you. Shes confused but interested in what you mean.
You explain to her it's therapeutic on both ends and it'll decompress you or whatever.
She buys it and you fork over the money. Laying on your back, you grin and Marla raises her foot above your face.
"So what now... like do I step up". You nod and she puts her weight on your face. The weight of her presses your head into the soil a bit but you love the sensation of her feet.
