Taking advantage of tge openning, she ran. As she did she could hear the people screaming and diving to get out of her way. They were clutching their choldren close to them, shutting their windows and doors, she even heard some invoking the name of theor god to save them. The fear that they levied at her caused her to cry as she forced herself to run faster.
Behind her she could hear the thunderous foot steps of the knights chasing her. She could hear their armor rattling and see the glints of their swords as they chased her further out of town. She could hear them commanding her to stop and perish. Even as she managed to flee the towns edge they continued to chase her, her tears now blinding her as her fear rose.
All she had done was awaken in a strange and unknown land and now she was being hunted down. Unfortionately, her tears obscured her vision causing her to miss the river until it was too late. She slipped on the river bank and was swept up by the roaring rapids. She struggled to stay above the surface, calling for help while the knights shouted for horses to continue the chase.
