"Wake up".
Hearing an unfamiliar voice echo throughout the room, Paya began to rouse from her slumber, only to stop herself. Keeping her eyes shut, she tried to sense her surroundings, only to find that she couldn't. Something seemed to be stopping her, presumably those who kidnapped her. At this point, she was certain it was the Yiga Clan. Only they could possibly sneak up on her, only they could block her senses, only they could -
"Oh, for Ganon's sake!" An irate voice, different from the first, rang out, almost making her open her eyes and see what the owner was so annoyed about. "Wake up, wake up, wake up!"
A number of stomps echoed around the room, once again almost making Paya open her eyes. But again, she stopped herself. The ability to seem asleep when they actually weren't was another Sheikah skill, one that was useful for gathering information or trying to prolong a situation. In this case, she was using it for the latter.
"Oh, don't try to sleep on us, Sheikah!" The second voice whispered directly into her ear, causing her to tense up. "I know you're awake! And until you open those eyes, I'm gonna keep whispering stuff into your ear!"
While she was rather good at feigning sleep, ignoring somebody whisper into her ear was not a skill of hers. After a few random phrases in an unfamiliar language, Paya finally opened her eyes, delighting her kidnappers. The first thing she saw were the chains wrapped around her arms and legs. The second was a rather rotund Yoga leaning over her, their mask mere centimetres from her ear. Seeing her eyes open, they bounced back.
"Ah, finally!" The Yiga clapped his hands together and bounced joyfully from one foot to the other. "I knew the Bokoblin language would break that trance of yours! Now, how about a few introductions, hm?"
"I... have nothing to say to the Yiga Clan," Paya stated defiantly. Unfortunately, she was unable to keep the quiver from her voice, causing the pudgy Yiga to chuckle.
"That's fine, I don't want to listen to anything the Sheikah have to say!" He responded, sitting cross legged in front of her. "But introductions must be made, regardless! After all, you sit in front of the fantastic Master Kohga, Top Banana of the Yiga Clan! And somewhere around here is my second in command, the Right Hand of the Inverted Eye, Sooga! He was the one kind enough to gather you for me".
As Kohga spoke, Paya's eyes flicked around the room, searching for any possible avenues of escape. Unfortunately, her cell was a rather simple affair. Grey stone walls with no cracks or windows, a rocky floor, one solid wooden door reinforced with iron bars and bearing a small window... In other words, no easy way out without fighting a horde of guards.
"Oh, don't bother trying to escape, Sheikah, you wouldn't reach the end of the hallway before getting caught!" Kohga told her, picking up on her eyes rapidly darting around. "Besides, you don't even know why we bothered kidnapping you in the first place! Go on, ask!"
Paya shook her head, earning her a tut from her captor and a stern slap on the back of her hand.
"As you're being so uncooperative, I'll just tell you!" Kohga declared, sitting cross legged opposite her. "You see, I have a longstanding rivalry with that grandmother of yours. For over a century, we fought and fought and fought, yet I never could beat her! She always pulled some dastardly trick out on me... But that ends today! It would be rude to try and beat up an old lady, so I'm taking my revenge out on you!"
"I-If you couldn't beat Grandmother, then how do you expect to beat me?" Paya couldn't help but ask, barely managing to keep her voice from warbling. "I'm... I'm more powerful that she is!"
"Oh, please, if you were more powerful than her, then you'd already be halfway back to Kakariko Village!" Kohga scoffed. "And as for your first question, well... I've got a plan, you see. A devilish plan, born from the mind of the genius Master Kohga! A plan you'll experience very soon! Right now, in fact! Sooga! Get in here, it's time!"
The door behind Kohga swung open, revealing a massive Yiga whose buff frame practically filled the entire door frame. Two swords, easily as tall as Paya, hung from his hips, each one swinging slightly as he marched towards her.
"Any attempts to escape, and I will cut you down," Sooga uttered bluntly, using one hand to lift Paya effortlessly to her feet and the other to swiftly undo her restraints. Once undone, she was chucked over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and carried from the room, Kohga eagerly scurrying along behind them.
"Sooga, don't harm our prisoner!" Kohga told him, earning him a grunt in response. "Anyway, as for what we're going to do to you...
