Mr. Kintobotnik flew the SCAS towards Brooke's mouth. Once we made it in, the sound of her breathing filled the air vents. Once we got inside her mouth, her breathing became louder and more noticeable. It also got darker, so Mr. Kintobotnik turned on the headlights.
"Welcome, class,” he said, “to the mouth!"
Half of the class observed Brooke's mouth in awe, while the other half observed in disgust. I was already in awe when we were heading there.
While we observed her mouth, saliva began to build up.
"What's happening?” Hubert worriedly asked, “Is she gonna eat us?"
"Actually,” answered Mr. Kintobotnik, “she's producing saliva to swallow us easier. The ship is too small for her to chew us up with her teeth, so her saliva will wash us down her throat."
"Why would she do this to us?!?!” Hubert asked again, all panicky.
"That's just her body defending her from harmful intruders. Apparently, we're detected as intruders."
"Does that mean she would produce saliva if any viruses were to enter her mouth?” I asked.
"Exactly!' answered Mr. Kintobotnik.
Saliva kept rising. Even worse, Brooke closes her mouth to swallow.
