The life of a college student wasn’t easy, especially when they had a double life as a crime-fighting vigilante that took precedence over his other priorities.
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when you go from saving people from a burning building to having to catch up on multiple assignments dedicated to your academic future. Peter had so much catching up to do that it landed him in the library last night so he could study and make sure he got everything down before any future classes.
In between then and now, he had passed out and had shrunken out of his clothes.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me.” He said, wishing he had at least something to cover himself up. That was only the least of his problems.
The lights were on and there were some people pouring in, it must’ve been late in the morning. Without any of his web shooters he couldn’t zip over to hide on the walls or the ceiling. Better to avoid any detection while he could, finding a tiny naked student felt like a scenario where it’ll end with him crushed under a shoe. Bad way for a superhero to go out.
If he was gonna find out how he got this small, he needed to get out of here. But how?
Lowering himself down on the cover of his shirt, Peter looked for anything useful. He was still near a desk so he could probably climb that and get to higher ground. It’d leave him too exposed if he were spotted and quite dangerous but that was better than aimlessly running on the floor near some massive students.
There was another idea and that involved the library carts. They were way bigger than any of the cramped buses in the city and all of the books on the top will take up all of the people’s focus more than the small guy who’d hitch a ride on them. But he wasn’t gonna be able to control where it’ll go so he’d have to hop off soon.
But if Peter really needed a quick way out of this place, he’d have to stay and wait for someone to spot his clothes. The likely scenario of that came with the hope that he’ll be dumped somewhere that won’t have a lot of people and he’ll get out of there a little easier. But if he does end up somewhere dangerous, he’ll be in more trouble than he could’ve expected.
All of those choices had the potential to end up going wrong, but he had to try something.
