This choice: A possible savior entered the building: Nadia Van Dyne! • Go Back... It seemed like someone was listening to Peter’s call for help because the door started opening up. Entering the apartment was a girl with short brown hair with a long red sweater. He recognized her as Nadia Van Dyne, the second Wasp. Seeing her gave him hope almost immediately. She did plenty of her own things, but she also did some size tech with pym particles, she could probably grow him back.
“Hello, Jan?” Nadia called out when she closed the door shut behind her and approached the stairs. “Are you here?”
“What?!” Janet’s voice was heard from the upper floor, “O-Oh, yeah! Yeah, hang on, I’ll be right down!”
Peter thought, ‘Now’s my chance!’ and took a step back before running to the edge of the rail and leaping forth towards Nadia’s left shoulder. He made it and grabbed onto the red fabric strings that held the sweat her together. Sure, he could stick to it easily like glue thanks to his powers, but he couldn’t help it. He just felt the instinct to grab on.
Janet started running down the stairs with one hand to the railing, now all dressed up in casual clothing from a simple yellow shirt to black jeans. Peter immediately moved himself to the back of Nadia’s shoulder.
“Hey, Jan-“ Before Nadia could greet her again, Janet pulled her close.
“Nadia, did you see something move down here?” She asked out loud, earning her a confused look. “Did you see something around here?”
“N-No.” Nadia answered. “Is there something going on, Jan?” She hasn’t seen her shaken up like this so she could only imagine that this was quite serious.
Peter watched from behind the shoulders as Janet moved her hands away and took a deep breath, whatever she was thinking about couldn’t be good for him.
Janet took a moment to calm down, but she looked quite serious doing so. Eventually she thought of something clever. “There’s a tiny guy inside in my house. I don’t know why but I think he was either a spy for an enemy, or he was a pervert because he caught me sleeping.”
“What?!” Nadia’s eyes went wide. “Where did you last see him!” immediately she had her fist pulled up and scanned the room.
“Oh no.” Peter gulped. If Janet could easily trick Nadia then he had to reconsider his plan, but what else can he do? He was still tiny and he wouldn’t make it too far if the two Wasps could track him down. They had to be good at spotting things smaller than they were.
Janet continued, “I don’t know, but he got out of my room before I could blast him. He’s still in here, we just have to find him. Hand him to me if you do see him, okay?”
Nadia nodded. “Yeah. I will, I swear on it.”
“Good.” Janet smiled and rushed out to the living room to find the tiny spy. Peter didn’t like his chances even when he felt Nadia shifting slowly. She raised her foot slowly, there was no blood smear underneath either of her shoes. Luckily there wasn’t anything there.
During that moment, Peter began to think hard about his plan. He should get to Nadia’s ear, maybe he can easily convince her that Janet was lying and get some help. But even so, she was on the alert for him. If she dared to spot him like this, would she think that something was off? Either way, he really didn’t want to get spotted by Janet, who knows what she’ll do to him?
He decided he needed Nadia’s help more than anything, but can he get her help? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
