Star’s mouth opened slightly when she chuckled, her voice so loud to the tiny boy between her fingers. She was still moving him closer, enough to give him the horrible idea that she wasn’t gonna pull him in for a kiss, instead something much more sinister. Given how she was still acting delirious, he should’ve expected this.
“Star, no! Don’t eat me!” Marco squirmed but it was no use. He was too small to even fight off her grip which was almost like iron. No way did he want to get anywhere near those lips, the gateway towards the place where all food goes. Marco was not food, but it might not even matter to Star.
Her chuckles ceased so suddenly and she sighed, her hot breath washing over Marco with nothing to shield him from it. Her eyes remained on him with that smile of hers, though her arm landed on the mattress without warning. Her grip on Marco was gone, freeing the boy who landed right on her warm palm. Her fingers remained still though he didn’t want to imagine them curling up and keeping him in her grip again.
Star groaned loudly, her head turning with her eyes closing up. He watched with concern. While thankful to be free from Star at her delusional state, she was still incredibly sick. She wasn't gonna get better soon with how severe this was.
"Star? Can you hear me?" He shouted, but there was no answer, maybe she was out cold? “Oh that’s not good.”
He really didn’t want to stay so tiny, and he wasn’t sure he’ll be able to get Star to wake up. But he had to try, sitting around wouldn’t get him anywhere. Even if things looked impossible from his viewpoint, he wasn’t gonna back down. Not now.
He reluctantly began moving off the giant’s palm and walked across the bed to reach her ear. Hopefully it wouldn’t be too eventful.
