Dante Wallace (Main Character): 15-year-old boy who spends most of his time causing trouble around town. After his capture, he’s enrolled at the school as Dominque Wallace. As Dominque, she tries her best to remain true to her former self but slowly acts more like a girl with each passing day.

Melanie Wray: A 15-year-old girl who catches Dante rifling through her dirty laundry. She’s a former boy who was frequently bullied by Dante before changing schools (and genders) in the middle of 7th grade. She takes great pleasure in Dominique’s punishment; but slowly develops a friendship with her.

Eleanor Wilkes: The 43-year-old Headmistress of the Bates Academy; until 10 years ago she’d been a 22-year-old man. Is very professional in her demeanor and strives to create well-rounded girls. Is currently married to a local businessman and raising a family; including a daughter from her husband’s previous marriage.

Miranda Fields: a 33-year-old Radeon employee who doubles as the school’s nurse.

Cally, Rachel and Jordyn: three 15 year old girls who are Melanie’s best friends, they slowly welcome Dominque into their group. Cally was born a girl but her parent’s didn’t think she was feminine enough; Jordyn was enrolled at the school in an attempt to prevent her from getting more girls pregnant. Rachel was enrolled as a last ditch attempt to save her failing academic career, at the cost of her manhood.
