Spartanburg, South Carolina, wasn’t exactly the promised land. She’d tried for two years to make it on her own in Charleston like her sister, only to find out the hard way that living with your best friends out of high school wasn’t as easy as everyone on those old sitcoms made it out to be. With no college degree and no real way of getting anything better than an entry-level job in retail, Haley had been forced to move back home with her mom. A Communications major at USCU, Haley had spent three long years trying to make the college experience work for her.
How well that had worked out for her was debatable, but at least she was on-track to graduate on time! Just one step closer to getting a good job, moving back out into her own place, and getting back to the rest of her life.
Senior year was going to be her year—she could practically taste it.
“Haley, breakfast is ready!”
Haley had been in the middle of the most important part of her morning routine; working up the energy to get out of bed. She had to spend at least thirty minutes in a half-asleep daze, scrolling through her social media feed and checking various websites before she even thought about getting up. Even the promise of her mother’s special chocolate-chip pancakes wasn’t enough for her not to curse under her breath.
But they were definitely enough to get her chubby buns into gear.
Hefting one leg over the side of her bed and sliding to the edge, Haley grumbled and cursed as she dragged herself to a standing position. Her low center of gravity and big bottom half meant forced her to rock ever so slightly, grunting as she exerted the immodest amount of effort meant to get her moving.
“Haley, honey, you up?” her mother called from downstairs, “It’s gonna get cold!”
“M’up!” Haley shouted, “Gimme a minute, goddamn…”
At twenty-four and weighing two hundred and sixty pounds, Haley wasn’t exactly in the best shape of her life. Ever since she’d moved home, she’d been steadily expanding—she’d put on more than a hundred and fifty pounds since she started college, and it somehow felt like all of it had been stuffed into her massive ass and thighs.
“Hff… shit…” Haley hissed, struggling to wriggle her way into leggings that she could have sworn were new (at least too new to be this tight!), “Stop calling my phone, mama!”
As a loud SSSHHHRRIP sounded and she felt her thigh flesh bulge through the new rip in her bottoms, Haley slouched in defeat. Another fucking pair of leggings—they were money well spent. Hadn’t she just bought these a few weeks ago?
“Thick thighs save lives my ass.” Haley pouted, wriggling and jiggling her way out of the now unwearable pants as the rip tore further down her inner thigh, “Thicker than a bowl of fucking oatmeal and what the fuck do I have to show for it besides some fucking… goddamn...piece of shit…”
Haley was panting by the time she’d squeezed herself into something decent—a pair of loose pajama bottoms that still managed to hug her ass and thighs so tight she could hear the threads stretch. Maybe if she untucked her tummy…
It wasn’t like her mom was gonna care as long as she changed before she left for class…
“Whoop.”
Haley grunted as she worked her hands underneath her stomach, working it out of the taut waistband of her bottoms. Billowing over the drawstring on all sides, Haley’s soft belly fat fell neatly onto her lap, even while standing. Haley gave a final petulant scowl as the audacity of this morning came to pass.
“Ahh…” she said finally, patting her belly contentedly as a smile spread on her face, “Much better.”
Her stomach offered another suggestion as to how she could improve her morning with a greedy grumble. The smell of her mother’s breakfast wafted heavily throughout the house, making her morning grumpiness fade ever further. Taking her first steps out of her bedroom, Haley waddled out into the hallway to start her senior year right.
“Good morning my Soon-to-Be Senior~” Mrs. West cooed and fawned as she saw her daughter’s distinctive shape grace the doorway, “I got everything ready for you—just how you like it!”
Easily her biggest champion (and enabler) Haley’s mom had done everything in her power to make sure that Haley had as easy a time in college as possible. She didn’t have to worry about paying rent, she didn’t have to get a job, and she could live worry-free as her mom kept her flush with a little spending money and plenty of free meals, on the house. For three years, Mrs. West had been able to spoil her baby girl and support her through college—she only had one year left!
Haley toddled into the kitchen hungrily, her massive legs rubbing against each other all the way down to her knees as her belly bounced eagerly towards the table. She pulled a chair out and plopped down with a mighty ripple that went up and out throughout her entire portly shape. Grabbing her knife and fork, Haley dove head first into her favorites: chocolate-chip pancakes with blueberry syrup, and butter between every layer.
“Thanks mom.” Haley said huskily, being handed a coffee mug and a little kitschy container of half and half, “You’re the best.”
Haley had been privy to these big breakfasts of her mom’s for so long now, the thought of going without them was honestly more than a little depressing. She’d gotten spoiled by having her mother’s cooking at her literal beck and call—even if she wasn’t always as appreciative as she ought to have been, Haley had really come to rely on her mom for a lot. Mealtimes especially…
So much was going to change after she graduated.
“Slow down, hun, it’s not going anywhere.” Mrs. West sipped her coffee as Haley’s flabby chest bounced with a cough, “What time do you gotta leave before class?”
“N’hour.” Haley huffed, “Could you pass me the—bacon, thanks.”
Haley’s thick fingers plucked a few strips from the pile and added them onto her already stacked breakfast platter.
“But I told Courtney that we’d meet up.” Haley took a big swig of her coffee (mostly sugar and cream), “So I’ve gotta hurry.”
“Well if you didn’t stay up so late, buying clothes with my credit card again without asking me—”
“Thank you for the breakfast, mama~!” Haley corrected as she blew a kiss placating to her mother with one chunky arm still shoveling food into her mouth, “Gottahurrybyyyyyeeee~!!”
