After the summer ended for YN, it was time for him to get ready for high school. He was pretty nervous about starting over at a new high school at first, but then he decided to just suck it up and face it head on. And the timing couldn't be better since YN had just transferred into a new school, Canterlot High School. YN heard that it was a pretty good setting for his education with good teachers and really nice people.
YN has been attending Canterlot High for the past few months and so far, he's been doing really well there. His grades are above average, the cafeteria food is good, and the students and teachers are all really nice to him. All in all, it was going great and YN felt like he could really stick with this place. But then, everything changed for him one day.
YN heard that there might've been some strange things happening at this school, something about magical entities and inter-dimensional weirdness, but of course, he didn't really believe any of it. However, it appeared that he was going to be proven wrong about that. YN somehow felt a strange sensation overcome him and consume his whole body, like something...unfamiliar came out of nowhere and touched him.
YN had no idea what it was but just as he was pondering it, YN suddenly saw everything about his surroundings change before his very eyes. YN stood alone in the middle of the hallway when he felt this sensation and watched as everything he saw grew bigger and bigger until he saw it all tower above him. YN was so surprised, he saw the lockers, the classroom doors, and even the water fountains tower miles above him.
It was then that he realized what happened to him. YN was actually shrunken! He had no idea what happened to him or how it even happened in the first place, but somehow, YN was suddenly reduced to about an inch tall in height. He was absolutely shocked by this and couldn't wrap his head around it. This was nothing that YN was used to and all he wanted right now was to find someone who could help him get back to normal size.
There was just one problem, though. YN was too small to be seen or heard by any of the other students around him and if he isn't careful, there was a good chance that someone might step on him. His only chance for survival now was to stay to the sides and avoid anyone stepping on him like an insect. However, that was when he saw someone walking by in the distance. It was a girl YN knew as Sunset Shimmer.
YN remembered how he was told that about the incidents with magic at Canterlot High, including a group of girls who were involved in those situations and managed to stop them. YN knew that Sunset Shimmer was one of these girls involved in those incidents and figured that maybe she could help him get back to normal.
YN began running towards Sunset to get her attention, but then he remembered how small he was compared to her. He wasn't making that much distance and quickly grew tired. But then, things got worse for him once all of the other students started exiting their classrooms. YN panicked as he tried with all his might to avoid getting squished by the gigantic footwear of all the colossal teenagers towering above him. YN had a few close calls but, fortunately, he managed to get to the side of the hallway and saved himself from being a stain on someone's shoe.
Sighing in relief, YN wasn't sure how he could find a way out of this mess. However, he didn't give up and tried to find another solution out of this predicament. One of them being finding Sunset Shimmer again, or any of her other friends who know all about the magic happenings at CHS. YN could remember all of their names and their faces since he's seen them around school plenty of times. They could be his only hope to getting back to normal size.
