Carl and CJ had just landed back onto the floor pondering what else they could do to have fun at their newly-diminished size. They looked around their bedroom for anything else they could play with until Carl saw just what they were looking for.
"Look there, CJ!" Carl said, pointing to what appeared to be a toy car lying on the floor.
"That toy car?" CJ asked in confusion until he realized what Carl had in mind. "But, we're too young to drive."
Carl ignored his brother's suggestion, thinking there was no need to worry about it. "So what? Come on! Let's take it for a spin!"
Without a second thought, Carl ran toward the car with CJ right behind him. Once they were near the car, the boys compared their new heights to it and measured the car to be just small enough for them to use and just big enough for them to fit in at their current size.
"It's perfect! We can use this baby to cruise around the apartment in style." Carl said, posing by the car egotistically.
"I don't know, Carl. It seems kind of dangerous. Why don't we try the trains instead?" CJ said only for Carl to brush his suggestion aside.
"Relax, CJ. It'll be fine." Carl said with a shrug. "See? It's no big deal. We can totally fit in it." Carl then opened the car's door and stepped into the shotgun seat, proving to his brother that they could definitely fit in the car with no problem.
"Perfect fit!" Carl exclaimed. "Now come on, CJ! Get in already!"
"Okay." Reluctantly, CJ complied and got in the car's driver's seat. "Hey, this isn't so bad."
"Told ya. And look." Carl directed CJ to the toy's controls, showing that they could easily drive it as if it were a real car. "This thing is almost like a real car. This is gonna be awesome!"
"You're right, Carl." CJ said, submitting to his brother's side. "This is gonna be fun. I'll drive."
Hearing that, Carl grew surprised when CJ immediately decided to take the wheel and argued about it. "Hey! Why do you get to drive?! This was my idea!" Carl protested.
"I'm taller than you, so I can drive better." CJ countered, winning the argument and getting Carl to let it go.
"Fine. Let's get this thing moving." Carl said.
Once the boys buckled up and shut the doors, CJ tested the car's ignition and quickly got used to it. "Here we go!" CJ exclaimed in excitement.
With that, they started the car and began their ride throughout the apartment. Carl and CJ screamed excitedly, starting their ride by driving a few donuts in their room. They then drove around their bedroom while dodging the many toys scattered along the floor as obstacles. Soon enough, CJ and Carl drove the car under their bedroom door and took the car for a spin in their apartment.
"This is awesome! Go faster, CJ!" Carl yelled.
"You bet. Let's go!" CJ was about to hit the "gas pedal" when all of a sudden...
*RUMBLE!*
Right as they were driving around the living room floor, a sudden tremor shook the ground and threw them for a loop. CJ kept his hands on the wheel as the boys recovered from the shock.
"Whoa! What was that?!" Carl shouted.
"I think it was an earthquake!" CJ replied worriedly.
Carl then looked past the windshield and gasped as he something large about to land on the floor in front of them. "LOOK OUT!" Carl screamed, prompting CJ to veer to the right as the large obstacle hit the floor.
The impact blew the car far away from it, making it spin out of control until CJ managed to make it stop. Carl and CJ were dizzy from the sudden spin out until they shook it off and tried to figure out what happened.
"Whoa. My head." Carl said before pulling himself together. "What was that about?"
"Uh, Carl. I think we're in big trouble. Really big trouble!" CJ panicked, pointing to what just presented itself to the boys as their most difficult obstacle yet.
To their combined shock, Carl and CJ gazed past the windshield and craned their necks up in shock to see none other than their older sister, Carlota, entering the living room with her phone in hand. Carl and CJ were speechless as their big sister towered miles above them with their ride barely reaching a tenth of the height of her platform shoes.
"Are you kidding, Lori? You should totally wear those shoes on your next date with Bobby. He'll just flip for them! Carlota said, her voice sounding much louder and deeper to her minuscule brothers.
"It's Carlota!" CJ exclaimed.
"Yeah! COLOSSAL CARLOTA!" Carl added in shock. "Guess we should've expected this if we were going to be tiny in a toy car, huh?" Carl chuckled nervously.
"We'd better get moving before she steps on us." CJ said. "And look. She's even wearing her platform shoes. We could get squashed!"
"Don't worry, CJ. We'll be fine." Carl said nonchalantly. "All we gotta do is-- WATCH OUT! BIGFOOT INCOMING!!!" Carl pointed forward, signaling CJ to move out of the way as Carlota moved her foot towards them.
*STOMP!*
CJ drove out of the way just in time before Carlota could step on them. They were about to drive away from her, but Carlota made it difficult for them to get away as she kept walking in circles while talking on her phone. Carl and CJ drove left and right trying as much as they could to dodge her massive footfalls as Carlota's feet kept landing in front of them. They were almost caught a few times and even bumped into her shoes to get knocked every which way until they finally made it out of her stomping range.
Carl and CJ breathed a sigh of relief as they escaped their big sister's dangerous clutches. "Whew! Glad we're out of that mess." Carl panted.
"But we're not safe yet." CJ clarified.
The boys were about to drive toward the apartment's door until CJ brought the car to sudden stop.
"Hey! What are you doing, CJ?!" Carl complained. "Keep going! I don't want to stop now!"
"Uhh-uhh! We almost got squished. That was dangerous. We should turn back." CJ retorted, choosing the safer option, much to Carl's annoyance.
"Come on. It wasn't that bad. We'll be fun as long as we stay in this baby." Carl said, but CJ wasn't having it.
He was about to turn back and drive them back to their room when all of a sudden...
