Lincoln took a deep breath and began jogging in place. "Alright then," he said. "Let's do this."
But as he was about to make a mad dash towards Lynn, the sporty girl spotted something moving out of the corner of her eye. She looked down to see a small figure scurrying towards her feet. Lynn immediately stopped in her tracks and fixed her gaze on the source of the movement. It looked to be some kind of orange, white, and blue colored bug. It also looked like it was running on two legs.
"Whoa. What is that?" Lynn asked as she stared at the little creature and squatted down to get a better look at it. Luck seemed to be on Lincoln's side as his sister was finally aware of his presence. Now all he could hope for is that Lynn wouldn't mistake him for a bug.
"LYNN, IT'S ME LINCOLN! HELP ME I'M SHRUNK!" Lincoln shouted as loud as he could.
His voice was very faint, but she could make out what he was saying. "Wait, is that..." Lynn said as she got a good look at the small figure. She then reached down with her right hand and gently pinched his tiny body between her fingers before standing straight up.
Lincoln could feel his sister's giant fingers squeeze him gently as he was lifted high into the air. His stomach lurched as the air rushed around him, and he felt like he was on one of Dairy Land's roller coasters. He breathed a sigh of relief as his ascent ended and he was greeted by the massive round face of his sister.
Lynn's pupils dilated, her suspicions were true, the tiny bug she held between her fingers was in fact her brother, Lincoln. "No, flipping way!" Lynn exclaimed in disbelief. "Lincoln!? What the heck happened to you!?"
The sheer volume of her voice made Lincoln's ears ring, and he cringed against Lynn's fingers. He quickly shook it off and began explaining to his sister what had happened to him.
"Well, you see what happened was, I was going to Lisa's room to turn off her invention and that's when it started to spark up, and the next thing I knew, I was the size of a bug." Lincoln paused for a moment to catch his breath. "That's when you came into the room and almost stepped on me."
Lynn's mouth hung open in utter shock and disbelief. She almost stomped her brother into a bloody paste, and no one would have ever known what happened to him. She then quickly caught herself and thought about what to say next. "Wow...you're lucky I didn't think you were a bug," she said with a chuckle.
Lincoln nodded. "Yeah, well I'm glad you didn't. But can you put me down, you're squeezing me a little too tight."
"Oops, sorry Linc." Lynn said before depositing him into the palm of her left hand. He then looked up at his sister who was looking down at him intently. Her large looming face cast a shadow over his tiny form. It was intimidating, to say the least. Even her freckles were massive compared to him.
"So, uh could you take me to Lisa, please? I really don't want to be this small anymore." Lincoln asked, hoping his sister would understand his predicament.
The brown-haired girl thought for a moment before her large lips spread into a toothy grin. "What's the hurry, Lincoln? I mean, when are you ever going to be this puny again?" Lynn asked as she poked him lightly, knocking him onto his butt. Lincoln tried to protest but he was cut off by his sister's booming voice.
"Hey? I bet at this size you could get a killer workout!" Lynn exclaimed, not bothering to keep her voice down for her tiny sibling.
Lincoln suddenly had a heavy feeling in the pit of his stomach. His fate was now literally in the hands of his sister.
What happens next?
