-Kitami, Hokkaido-

In the wintry landscape of a city nestled in the northernmost part of Japan, amidst the sprawling fields of snow and ice, stood a man in his mid-thirties. His striking features boasted blonde hair and piercing blue eyes.

An enigmatic figure,

he found himself indulging in a habit he despised - smoking.

However, the reason behind his seemingly contradictory behavior was a woman he held dear. She possessed a fondness for the scent of smoke, or...he could say... the scent of smoke that come from his master... and thus, he reluctantly took up just hope that she could lay her eyes on him.

On his left hand, concealed beneath a heavy coat, the distinct mark of a Command Spell materialized—a symbol signifying his status as one of the masters participating in the war. Uncertain of how events had unfolded, his first objective just only arrived in Hokkaido to investigate the abnormal movements of the leyline.

Thoughts of a stunning girl with ash-gray hair hidden beneath a hood consumed John's thoughts. She was his first and only love, though he understood he had no chance with her, as she devoted herself to her master, wishing to protect and care for him until the end.

Nevertheless, before his potential demise in the war, he yearned to see her once more, just as he had seen his departed friends.

John retrieved something out from his pocket—a strand of gray hair, a keepsake he had secretly acquired from her hood prior to his journey to Hokkaido. Placing it carefully within the middle of the magic circle, he initiated the summoning ritual, proclaiming aloud:

"Hear me! I summon you now to serve me!"

The crimson magic circle began to emit a faint red glow, gradually transforming into a radiant white light that resonated with a gentle hum. As his incantation reached its culmination, the luminosity intensified, causing him to shield his eyes and avert his gaze until the brilliance subsided.

Lowering his arm slowly, he opened his eyes and beheld a figure standing within the circle—a new servant. However, her appearance left John momentarily stunned, for she was...
