False Alarm?

    by: Zex Author IconMail Icon
Chris kicked in the door as he and Leon carefully swept the room to make sure that there was no hostile life. Everything seemed quiet for right now. Chris and Leon had received a report that there were viruses from the Umbrella Corporation in this location and they had swiftly made their way there to investigate. The location was an old mansion that Umbrella had been using to do tests on virus that manipulated the human body.

Chris and Leon had trekked through most of the mansion, seeing numerous scientific equipment that clashed with the old fashion décor of the mansion. Though they hadn't seen any sign of equipment used to house viruses in. They were starting to think that maybe this was a false alarm.

Chris put his gun back in his holster and sighed. "Shit what of this is a wild goose chase."

"Come on we had reports that Umbrella used this building for their research. They must have been working on something important to keep it in their secret files." Leon said as he began to look through all the drawers on the desk, trying to find any clues.

"Please this looks more like a bunch of rich assholes that were pretending to play doctor." Chris said. He looked over to see a empty glass vial on a stand. He picked it up and inspected it holding it to the light to get a better look. Suddenly he felt something run a long his foot and instinctively went for his pistol dropping the the vial and it shattered on the floor. Chris sighed as he realized it was just a mouse running along his foot.

"Careful scaredy cat we don't know what could be in those vials!" Leon said in a annoyed yet teasing tone.

Chris groaned. "Get off my back there was nothing in there. Are you done Leon?" Chris asked him.

Leon sighed. "Yeah looks like there was nothing here let's go back and report our findings then."

"Sounds good to me, you know I could go for a bite to eat when we get back." Chris said.

The two of them made their way back to the extraction point. Though little did they both know that there was a virus in that vial, an airborne virus that had infected both of them. Leon and Chris would be changing in very big ways.
