Shouldering the doctor's bag, Katy began following the signs for the parking garage. She slipped a face mask over her face to hide from any cameras but still saw a few guys and even some girls taking a sneaky look at her as she passed. Truth be told, she kinda enjoyed the attention she, or at least Maria Bennett, was getting.
After a few minutes, she found the parking garage but how to find the car? There were at least six levels and the whole structure was still full of cars even at this time of day. Sighing to herself, Katy started at the first level and simply walked through the rows, past car after car constantly pressing the unlock button on the keys. After what seemed like forever, on the third level, she was finally greeted with flashing lights. Eagerly she looked up and her face burst into a wide grin. It was the Mercedes, a little white convertible, and incredibly cute! She almost ran up to it and looked all round it. On the back she saw it was called a SLC and was only two years old. A quick Google on her phone showed her the price and she swallowed hard. She had done a little driving with friends, but didn't have her license or even her permit yet, Still, how could she resist? She slipped inside and settled into the leather seats. She spent a few minutes looking for the slot for the key before realising it was keyless ignition. She pressed the Start Stop button and was rewarded with a purr from the engine which burst instantly to life. Her mom's car took four or five attempts to get going in cold weather but this was a different class altogether, and she soon felt the warmth of the heated seats coming through her borrowed leggings. Before nerves stopped her she slipped the car into drive and it gently rocked forward. Almost immediately, Katy slammed on the break in fear and the car came to a halt. But she tried again and again and after a few minutes she was driving it smoothly around the garage. After passing the exit for what felt like the hundredth time Katy decided to take it out onto the open road. After all, this might be Maria's car but she had a license in her purse saying that she WAS Maria, so why shouldn't she? She drove up to the barrier which opened automatically and out onto the asphalt beyond.
