It started as a normal summer day. Your family decided to have the annual family reunion at the beach because the weather was hot and clear enough. Though there was some worries about a new type of virus going around that caused those that were infected to transform, but that was half the world away in Australia.

As the day progressed, you started to feel strange, chalking it up to feeling the heat. But it soon progressed to feeling painful. Soon the pain caused you thrash as your body became unable to control itself. A yell of fear came as others on the beach also started having convolutions, including your sister and other members of your family. Thankfully the younger children were pulled away and shielded from what was happening.

According to the news reports, this was how the transformations started.
