On One Ear, Off the Other

Stephanie picked up a velvet box and opened it. Inside, there were two different earrings. One was a hoop with a rabbit in the middle. The other was a dangling earring that was adorned with jewels.

"Are you sure these will help me?" Nick asked.

"Here's how they work," Stephanie explained. "You wear one of them, and you have this bunny friend of yours wear the other one. Your minds will be connected and you can know everything she knows."

"How much do I owe you?" he asked.

"That'll be $45." Stephanie replied.

Nick slapped the money on the counter and walked out with the earrings. As he opened the box, he noticed a piece of paper inside. He unfolded and read it.

It was a warning about-
