"This still...feels like a dream to me," Penelope said looking at the number in her bank account. $3,161,000,100 was the grand total. See, Penelope was not exactly someone with good standing. As she was someone who recently graduated from college with a degree, she had spent all of her money paying back her student loans with only a few dollars remaining. And the job market...has not been that kind to her.
So one day, as a joke, she spent her last two dollars on a lottery ticket. She was ready to fall into complete and utter despair until her ticket was a winner. After that, she bought more tickets and became a winner in them as well. Now she stands as a multimillionaire or billionaire as it were, with more money than she could ever imagine.
For now, though, she hangs around her apartment with her roommate Paige wondering what to do next.
"I seriously think we should move to some fancy place," Paige said.
"Really? Are you sure?" Penelope asked with concern. "I should feel lucky to have just got the money and..."
"Screw that. We need to be living with it, not hoarding it away like some troll." Paige said.
"Geez, you starting to sound like my mom now," Penelope said. "Well...I suppose I could start using it. First order of business..."
