You continue cleaning, at first taking a bit of caution with the things you were inevitably having to touch, the cleaning supplies, the walls, the dusty surfaces.. But after seeing nothing was happening you were able to relax a tiny bit.
The drudgery of cleaning didn't distract you from thinking about the experience though, it just felt so surreal to be separated from your body like that, to feel like you could have travelled anywhere with your body just resting there behind. Could it be done? You wondered if the medallion would allow you to feel it again and to explore more of that feeling, and what else you could do with it? Would you be able to travel to any place you wished? To go through walls? To go inside of people as if you were a ghost possessing somebody?
The possibilities were something you found both thrilling and chilling, it was exciting to discover something that felt like it could be a superpower, but at the same time it was scary to deal with forces that you didn't understand, and that's why you tried to shake your thoughts away from what you could do and, while you kept cleaning at a slow, disinterested pace, to focus more on any clues that the medallion could give you. You examined it away and found nothing weird except for a very obvious question, what was the time dial for? It was still marking on a week but at no point did you feel like you travelled in time so.. Could it do that? How?
You stored the medallion again in your pocket and resumed your task, noticing that you were almost done and the only dusty piece of furniture that remained was at the center of the room, which had a few years old tv in the middle and surrounding it, pictures of all your relatives at different times of their lives. Some pictures were so old they were in black and white like the one with your mother and your aunt Carol as kids, or the one with him and your grandmother dressed quite formally. And while others weren't so old none of them were particularly recent, you smiled as you spotted your picture as a kid and also checked the ones showing your cousins.
After you finished cleaning one of the pictures called your attention and, forgetting about the medallion and its previous warning, you grabbed the picture to look at it more closely.
