Carrie and Other Ghosts Becoming Reborn

It was late at night and Carrie being able to sleep but not needing to decided not to and was hanging out at a famous ghost gathering, a graveyard. She was hanging around with many ghost and ghouls who recently lost their lives and or long ago. One ghost asks, “How you doing hanging with the living and all?”. She replies, “It’s alright. It isn’t entirely boring that’s for sure and all my classmates either make it annoying or interesting there” Then the ghost acquaintances then share their tales on how they lived their lives before they become part of the afterlife. Some were good and others not so much before they met their end. “Wow, sounds like you all had pretty eventful lives when you were alive. “Oh, I’m sure you had an interesting life as well before you became a ghost”. She sighed hearing that and replies, “Not really... I was always born a ghost”. Some of the specters gasped hearing that with one asking, “Really? So you never had a chance to feel what it’s like to be alive?”. “Well, there have been a few times... one time my classmate Gumball let me “borrow” his body. While in control is was able to eat, breathe, and feel things for the first time. But then...I got a little carried away and things got a little crazy and I made him act like a monster trying to feed myself”. Some of the ghosts are amazed while others were shocked. “And how did that end for him?”. Carrie whips her ghost bangs and says, “Oh he’s fine. He even let me binge eat using his dad”. All the ghost laugh for a bit with that story.

One ghost then says, “Too bad that body wasn’t yours so that you can experience the joys of living a bit more”. “Yeah... to be honest I would like the change to be living with my own body”. Many of the ghosts nodded wanting another chance at life. It was then an older specter remembered something. “Actually, now that I think about it. I think there is something in the cursed book back in the spirit world that mentions of being able to becoming living again”. “Really?” asks with excitement. “I gotta check that out”. She then disappears in a flash of light. The ghosts still in the graveyard chat some more before Carrie came back from a white flash. “Here it is” Carrie says while holding a book with a a horrifying face on the cover. She then starts flipping through the pages scrolling through to find what she wanted. “Here it is”. She then started reading the passage. “Only through the assistance of a mortal being a host and mating, can a spirit hope to ever have another chance at living. What does that mean?”.

The longer existing ghost then explains, “I think it means that if anyone of us want to be living again we need to pick a host and then become their children”. Carrie being hundreds of years old as a spiritual existence knew what adults do to make babies. Her face blushing she asks, “You mean we need to go inside a host and then have them...”. “Yes... but if you don’t feel comfortable with the process you can always forget it”. Carrie shakes her head in embarrassment to then snap out of it. “No... I want to feel the joy of being alive with my own body”. Once she made her decision many other ghost and ghouls gathered around her. “Looks like they want to join in this reborn process. I will admit that even I want to become a part of this. You don’t mind if we all join you Carrie?”. She replies, “No. I mean the more the merrier I guess”. The ghosts all cheer in excitement. “Excellent, now to find the right host to enter”. That would prove difficult to them as the other spirits don’t have much of physical interactions with the living except maybe during halloween night. But Carrie having being with mortals in school and family members of theirs had a few options. She suggested...
