Okay, here is a few more options for you to use here on the adoption storyline.

Adopted by a Single Mother and her Daughters: kinda similar to the family option, but here the mother is not a couple and she has several daughters. I know, not a that original and such, but worth a shot.

Mixed Normal Family: Well imagine the females being huge and the guys and boys being small in this family as well. Guess the kid will have a loving normal family, just with the girls huge.

Anthros and Furries adopted: The kid is adopted by huge Anthros and Furries from the orphanage. Can be single, lesbian, mixed family, or etc, but the parents are creatures.
