Chloe’s mom was less the scientist
type and more the entrepreneur.
She had become part owner of
some research labs and on
this day had taken her daughter
Chloe with her.
Chloe’s mother was presently
not happy with one of the secret
projects there.
“I’m sorry Vice President Pierce
but as you can see we’ve been
zapping the target for an hour
straight with no change.
On a tray being targeted by
some sort of red beam was a
piece of cut up watermelon.
“I don’t want excuses I want results!
You can turn off the ray for now
but you need to figure out what’s
going on and why it’s not working
got it?”
As the ray shutdown
Chloe stepped up to the
watermelon and ate it.
Her mother grabbed her hand
before Chloe could spit out the
seeds and she accidentally swallowed
them.
Here sweetie play in the break room.
There wasn’t much to do but
Chloe was a good and smart child
for her age so she made the best of
things.
No one knew what was going on
in Chloe’s stomach though after
eating the watermelon piece seeds
and all.
Inside her stomach as stomach acids
began trying to digest the seeds
something strange began to happen.
All 8 seeds but not the rest of melon
pieces began to glow.
Suddenly the 8 of them began
growing in size.
Chloe was drinking some juice
when her tummy started to feel
upset then began to hurt.
1st it hurt a little but then the pain
started to increase steadily.
Inside Chloe’s stomach the seeds
were still glowing and growing
but had also split open some
growing root or vine like appendages
beginning to emerge.
The growing seeds and vine root
things were running out of space
and the walls and “roof”
of the stomach started to put up
a resistance until 8 vines push
into the ceiling.
Chloe winces feeling 8
“Pin pricks”
A tiny bit of blood leaks onto
the vines then they stop
growing.
Suddenly the glowing begins to
migrate from the seeds and
Vine roots to the very walls and
ceiling of her stomach.
It wouldn’t be known or discovered
yet but the overload of various
energies through seeds absorbed
needed a release or outlet particularly
the most efficient best outlet available.
Seeing as the seeds hit a wall
1 of 2 things could’ve happened
Possibility 1 they keep growing
inside Chloe and tear her body apart
or lucky for Chloe and her family
Possibility # 2
Which turned out to be the case.
The energy responded to the
blood and skin and DNA
it contacted and found something
better than the seeds to latch onto.
It wasn’t an act of some sentient
energy either it was simply the
facts that Chloe was more alive
than those seeds which didn’t even
have proper nutrition but even
more than that Chloe’s
body was young, not at all
mature and thereby still growing.
In other words her body was a
semi willing vessel just waiting
to receive energy and nutrition
and sentient or not to the energies
flowing from the seeds into
Chloe’s body this was the
perfect host with far more
potential than the seeds possibly
Unlimited potential.
Chloe didn’t notice her body and
clothes glow as she was holding
onto her tummy eyes closed.
Suddenly the pain started to ease
but she did start to feel odd.
