You have debt

"I have debt?" you stutter. You're so shocked it feels like the ground is shaking underneath you.

"Oh, yeah," the elf tells you. The same elf who checked you in years ago and made you sign all those papers. You begin to wonder what exactly it is you signed.

"You see," the elf continues, "Even though the Heroes' Academy gets a substantial subsidy from the Kingdom. and has several large endowments from successful heroes who have graduated from these hallowed halls, we still saddle our graduates with hefty debts that will haunt them for at least a decade or two, if not more. So I would get adventuring if I were you."

You stare dumbfounded at the elf. who stares back at you silently, before adding
