Chapter #6

Lvl 15

    by: Unknown
The Heroes' Academy maintains a grading system called 'levels' that serves no practical purposes in the outside world. Individuals who graduated the Academy at a low level have gone to achieve great fame (or infamy), while others had great promise and faded into obscurity.

The main function that Levels provide at the Academy is for graduating purposes. Every student is assigned a Level One ranking when they enter the Academy, with that Level changing as they progress in their training and education. The best Level a student can hope for by the time they graduate is a fifteen, but they must achieve at least a level nine by the time of graduation, or they will not be certified by the Heroes' Academy.

You graduated with a Level of Fifteen. The Academy takes in a number of factors when assigning Levels, all of which you excelled at. Of course, following the advise of a first year counselor, you haven't "dipped your quill in the Academy's inkpot." So you're leaving the Academy as you entered it: a virgin.

Hopefully entering the world will let you experience the adventure of romance.

You cast a cantrip that displays both your level upon graduation, and that of Olapen. She's ranked a respectable thirteen, but you don't think she's supposed to be partnered with you.

"Are you sure you're supposed to be partnered with me, Olapen?" you ask.

Olapen opens her mouth but freezes before she utters a word. She silently studies your left ear for so long that you become very uncomfortable.

She finally breaks the silence with an observation made in an accusatory tone. "You are not a half elf," she declares. "I am supposed to be mentoring a half elf." With a huff, Olapen storms out of your presence.

Eventually you find your true partner for your first Quest, a handsome male warrior with Nordic features. This male warrior is a
