Chapter #3

The elephant graveyard

Your morning isn't going nearly as well as you'd like.

First off, you don't wake up in your room, never a good sign. Second off, and much more importantly, you've woken up to find yourself standing at approximately an inch high. You're only guessing, but the fact that you can fit in these tiny cracks in the ground helps you come to this conclusion. It also helps that you're right underneath an enormous elephant's skull! The bony remains seem 400, 500... so many feet tall that it's not even worth counting them all, you could easily dance on the tip of its tusk without falling off! It could take hours to run from one end of this gigantic tusk to the point where it attaches to the skull, that's how small you've become! You get as far from this corpse as you can.

This skull and the hazy, musky smelling fog rolling over these dead lands isn't helping you relax as you run around in a panicked frenzy, but you slowly manage to calm yourself down. You'd only just gotten done freaking out about this when a noise makes you freeze up and turn white as a ghost. The sound of hysterical laughter can be heard long before the thudding footsteps of some giant creature.

Something huge is coming, something living, and more than likely eager to eat a tiny little person such as yourself, you've got to hide somewhere! You run for the monolithic elephant bones, hoping to hide behind them, or under them, whatever shelter they can give is better than just standing in the open! You look over your shoulder, and a blurry figure appears behind the newest wave of fog. This one figure stretches into a second, and two hyenas, hundreds of feet tall even from this far away, begin to emerge from the fog.

"Seriously, shut up, Ed!"

Did they just... Never mind, who cares if hyenas can speak right now, they're gonna chomp you to bits if you stick around and think about them! The laughing gets closer as the two hyenas carelessly trot your way. It's just the two right now, but as you sprint towards the stack of bones...

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. You manage to hide from them.

*Noteb*
2. They see you and quickly catch up!

3. You run right into a third hyena's paw!

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
