One morning, Stu told Didi he was leaving for a two-day toy convention and was leaving her in charge of Tommy and Dil while he was away. As Stu left, Didi fed Dil his breakfast of strained carrots. More strained carrots got on Dil rather than in him, so Didi decided to give Dil a bath.

Unfortunately, bathing Dil was easier said than done. Dil didn't like his bath too much, as he fussed and he splashed about, getting Didi wet. At last, five minutes passed in the tub and Dil was clean. Didi dried Dil off and was ready to dress him in the purple shirt and clean diaper she set aside for him. Unfortunately, to her horror, they were both soaked from the bathwater. She began to worry what she was going to do.
