Immediately Clarissa went numb in the legs and became cold as ice.Something had happened to her body,Clarissa's mind scrambled to comprehend what was wrong. It was as if she was a marionette attached to strings. Her body paced over to a very clear puddle of water.
"A little chubbier than me when I was alive." A alien voice came out of Clarissa's mouth. The woman's eyes bulged open at the sound. Her face twisted into an expression of confusion soon after as if Clarissa wasn't in control, which she wasn't at the moment."But where am I?"
"Who the hell are you;what the hell are you?" Clarissa yelled, back to being the master of her own mouth again. She lost control again, her face raised an eyebrow. With a scratch at her head, Clarissa coughed into a raised fist.
"I'll tell you once you answer my question first darling." The Not-Clarissa spoke. Once more in control again,Clarissa ran her tongue over her teeth. She tried to find the best words to speak to whoever this was, while at the same time trying her best not to scream. Her nose twitched which was a particular quirk she had when she was distressed.
"You're...you're on a concrete path heading out of Blue Hills." Clarissa responded.
"And who are you exactly?" spoke Not-Clarissa.
"Clarissa Dirge."
"Hrmph. What year is this missy?"
"Twenty-twenty." Clarissa steadied her breath when she answered.
"Only been about five years since I last checked in, okay thanks." Not-Clarissa spoke with a flush smile. Silence covered the area until Clarissa could find her own voice.
"Who are you? What are you?"
"Oh sorry dear, I forgot to answer your little ditties. One moment, don't freak,I'm just going appear like a cloud over your eyes." Not-Clarissa spoke. Like a mirage, Clarissa's face shimmered and from it came another form. It was a average looking brunette, though in the twenties she would've been called a beauty. In today's age, she was just average looking sadly enough.
Her lower half was covered do to the fact that the puddle wasn't big enough to show everything. It looked like a green dress and pearls were wrapped around her neck.
"Hello dear." The voice spoke, now more inline with the puddle's mirror image. "My name's Virginia, last name unimportant.I'm what you kills call a ghost."
