Audry and Mama Beame waved Stinky goodbye, and she waved back at them as she made her way out of the diner.
"I'm gonna go now - thanks for the food!" she said in a cheerful tone.
"You're very welcome, Stinky girl!" Mama Beame replied.
"See ya later, Stinkbug!" Audry added.
As Stinky stepped away from the entrance to the diner, she rubbed her stomach in delight. "Ahhh, now that definitely hit the spot," she said aloud. "Mom's breakfast was good, but I needed a little more."
Brrrrrpppt!
"Feels good to be all fueled up!" Stinky exclaimed.
"I bet it does."
Stinky raised an browse and looked around. The voice's origin wasn't immediately clear to her, and it wasn't one she wasn't sure she recognized.
