The Grand Shift:
A story preferably set in first person, in this story our protagonist (Bill Tibbs) is beset by an event beyond human understanding. Through an unkown origins every human has swaped bodies at the exact same moment, though insanity would befall many and civilization seemed inevitable to collapse, no matter who you swaped with you would stay in the same place, I.E if you swaped with a random Japanese girl while your eating lunch with your friends in some dinner in the U.S you would still be in the dinner only as that girl, and her current outfit.
This though insane seem pretty bad was only the beginning everyone would at least gain a single trait from their new body, in the previous example with the boy being swaped with the Japanese girl it's entirely possible he also now only knows how to speak Japanese, or perhaps has the girl's palette in food, or maybe her intelligence it could be anything usally it's more than one trait transfer over, but in extremely rare cases no trait would be transfered.
CHARACTERS:
Bill Tibbs- Bill Tibbs is your average junior high schooler just trying to keep good grades and his head above the murky waters of adolescents, Bill doesn't really have any exciting interests, he doesn't do sports or compete in video games the only sort of remarkable thing about him, is his firey red hair and the fact that his world turned upside down in the middle of his father teaching his class.
Miranda Tibbs- The Tibbs family matriarch, she's a rough fifty-five with graying hair and plenty of wrinkles joining in, she's long past her prime but god damn does she love her kids, she always tries to support them and give them what they need to succeed in life, some would even say over protective, she is also a tad old fashioned but nothing like John.
John Tibbs- The patriarch of the Tibbs family, he is generally a very cold and distant man, more focused on his work and providing for his family than really hanging out with them, he works as substitute teacher for the high school, his bald head reflects the light so much that he's gotten complaints from parents that he nearly blinded their child, it's also been noted how incredibly old fashioned he is, though hoodies, phones and much more were allowed on campus you could find him patrolling campus, and if he found you participating any of those things he would instantly send you down to the office, this doubles in his home life.
Tessa Tibbs- the second oldest of the Tibbs kids, she is an 8th grader, she is also probably the smartest out of the family with an easily 4.0 record so far in her academic life.
Brandon Tibbs- The youngest Tibbs, being just turning seven when the word went upside down, at that age there isn't much to really say about his character, though he acts pretty spoiled whining and getting fits of rage when Miranda or John refuses to buy his toy.
Rita Lopez- A rather sporty girl, she's the captain of the cheerleaders, she had has amazing blonde hair, and a perfect smile, medium sized breast, and the love interest including Bill.
Terry Won- The star foot ball player, and main bully and terror of the school, his father is the principal which makes no one ever stand up to him.
Timothy Hunt- He is Bill's only friend, there isn't much to him besides rather embarrassing love for weeb culture, it wouldn't be much of a surprise to see a new figure in his house every week, his parents are probably the richest families in the small community which helps enable him but surprisingly he didn't turn out spoiled.
