Chris Hemsworth pulled into the parking lot of The Ranch a minute before 7. He recognized Evans's car parked near the door but didn't see any of the other cast member's cars.
"Mr. Hemsworth. Right this way. Mr. Evans is already here Miss Johansson called to apologize but she can't make it." The attendant greeted, heading back to where Chris could already be seen towards the bar. Not many people were in the restaurant that night. A few groups were scattered around but Evans was mostly interested in a couple of girls at the bar.
"Glad you found us." Evans grinned as Hemsworth pulled out one of the bar stools and ordering a Coors. "These two lovely ladies were just telling me how much they enjoy our movies."
The girls giggled but their smiles seemed off, almost as if they were painted on.
One of the girls came over, taking a sip of Hemsworth's drink before handing it to him for the bartender. He glanced over at Evans who shrugged, continuing on his own drink.
"Where's everyone else? I was told Scarlett couldn't make it when I got here."
"Yeah, most of them texted me earlier that they couldn't make it either leaving just you and me. Their loss."
"Or mine." Hemsworth chuckled, drinking deeply from his glass.
The girls grabbed a couple napkins and a pen, writing their numbers and sticking it in the pockets of the actors before walking off, giggling.
"Those girls were creepy." Hemsworth muttered as they disappeared out the doors.
"They're harmless. Just flirts trying to get in with the big wigs." Evans grinned after them.
"Maybe." His stomach started to grumble. He waved the bartender over, placing an order for the biggest steak they had. Evans ordered the same. Even before their orders arrived they could both tell something was wrong and the steaks wouldn't be enough. Fighting off the urge to get more, they both left, barely having spoken since their food arrived.
