“Let’s get one more Pokemon!” You say to her happily, as she wore a smile back to you. Both of you very happy as she walked around. You knew where you were, since you lived here so you just told the bear where to go. She seemed very happy about holding you, and that was something you were a real fan of.
It’s not going to be easy, but catching a second Pokemon is key. That way, at least they can train together when not facing other trainers or wild Pokemon.
You were not going to lie though, you were a bit concerned. As soon as you saw a trainer in the distance, you asked Teddiursa to avoid them. You were just concerned, even though you know for a fact that you would have to deal with giants eventually. Just gonna try to delay it though.
Eventually you two got to the route. The route to the Victory Road of Kanto. Excited, you tell her to go into the grass. Both of you moving in, as you wore a smile as you look over to her.
“Okay, let’s catch you a friend!”
“Teddi!” She chimed back excitedly, pretty much running. Still holding you of course.
“Now let’s see, Rattata, Pidgey, Nidoran and Mankey. I think those are all the Pokemon here. I just hope we catch one without much trouble.” You say to her as she just walks.
When suddenly, you heard something moving around the ground.
“It’s a Pokemon Teddiursa, quick we don’t want to to startle it a-”
It just came out. You thought it would be more concerned considering a trainer was near but... it hasn’t seen you. Useful, but a bit heartbreaking. It must assume that Teddiursa was just a wild Pokemon like itself.
What Pokemon? It was a Nidoran Female! This was one of the Pokemon you wanted.
“Okay Teddiursa, put me down and...” You pause, when you realise that she will not really be able to hear you from a distance, and in the midst of battle. “Okay how about... in your ear?”
You questioned about it, as she wore a smile. She knew what she wanted to do, as she swung you around. It was so fast, and you felt yourself tucked in. You could see barely anything, but still at least you could see the battle and Teddiursa could hear you.
“Ready... get as close as you can, and then send out a Scratch!”
She kept walking, getting closer until finally she acted. Nidoran didn’t expect anything, as she swung her hand around and slashed the Pokemon. Nidoran fell over from the hit. It was a critical! However it was still going.
Nidoran stood up, and rammed into Teddiursa.
“Dodge it!” You say to your Pokemon, however she took the hit. Being sent back by a Tackle and being hit hard. She fell onto her back, feeling hurt.
“Teddi!” She whined.
“Sorry, i’ll try to be better next time. Get up, cause she is coming!” Nidoran was, running her way. As fast as she can, but thankfully Teddiursa dodged out of the way as she leaped. You still in the ear and trying to look at what to do.
“Okay, Fake Tears isn’t going to work, so what I want you to do is sidestep the next Tackle. Can you do it Teddiursa?”
“Of course I can!” She shouted back, as Teddiursa moved forward. Getting ready and waiting for Nidoran, it happened at the perfect time. Dodging to the side and giving it a Scratch.
“That’s it Teddiursa You are a natural!” you shouted with a big smile on your face. Very happy about what you were seeing.
However Nidoran got up once again, and lowered it’s head.
Someone who have seen this before. “Teddiursa! She’s sending out a Poison Sting! Make sure to move to the side!”
As you said this, she moved to the side. Walking to the side as she breathed a sigh of relief.
“It’s fast, but easy to dodge. Watch out more are coming!” You shout to Teddiursa as she listened. She really seemed to perfected the sidestep, as that was all she was doing. Dodging to the side again and again but she wasn’t getting closer and Nidoran wasn’t stopping.
“You got to move forward, instead of stepping to the side, step forward as well!” She said with a smile, as that started to happen. Slowly but surely, the distance between was becoming smaller and smaller.
Until finally she acted. A smile on her face as you yell.
“Scratch!” At the top of your lungs. It was a powerful hit as Teddiursa attacked. Nidoran was left with a powerful hit, falling the side and unable to move even if she wanted.
You wore a smile yourself, very happy about how it ended. The Nidoran’s eyes were X’d out, so it was over at the moment.
“That was amazing, now it’s my turn. Bring me out please!?”
She listened as Teddiursa pulled you out. She was a bit hurt, but she also level up due to the intense battle. This was making you happy about it. Teddiursa levelled up, and you were going to get a second Pokemon.
Opening the Pokeball, you tossed it as far as you can. Going far until it hit the Nidoran. The giant Pokemon retracted into the small ball as it came back to you.
You wore a smile on your face, happy about it as you look at the ball in your hand. This has got to work, you have got to get another Pokemon. The strength of the trainer doesn’t matter, it’s the strength of the Pokemon.
You sit down as the Pokeball shook a bit. It usually takes three shakes for it to catch a Pokemon. That was the first one, and the second one just came out as well!
