Chapter #3

Her coworker Mallory

    by: Agrika Author IconMail Icon
"Mallory?" she exclaims in disbelief. But yes, it really is her, although not in a position she's used to seeing her. She's sitting up against the stem of the tulip, her arms raised up, her forearms entwined with thick green vines that seem to secure her to the large flower. She's wearing a black bra and nothing else; she's sitting with her legs spread, roots going over her ankles, making her completely stuck there. Now that she's a bit closer, Lilly can make out that Mallory is the source of the noise she was hearing: she's giggling loudly. Upon closer inspection, Lilly sees that the grass and ferns at her feet move in strange ways, tickling her constantly.
When she hears Lilly approach, she turns her head. "Lilleeehheeehheeeheeeee-- is thhhaaahhhaaatt youhhhuuuu?"
"What's happened to you?"
"Eeehheee... geeeeehhheeeet meeeee oooooooouuut!" she says, in between laughs.

Before Lilly can think of anything, she sees someone approach Mallory: a chubby man with pointy ears and thick white beard who can't be taller than two inches. He's holding a feather that's almost as long as he is.
"Nooooo," Mallory screams when she too notices the tiny fellow, "noooot agaaaaaiiin."
The gnome pays no attention to her, walks up between her open legs, right up to her crotch. As he gets in position, the plants at Mallory's feet stop moving, and she gets a bit of relief from her laughter.
"Sorry," Lilly says, "who are you?"
"Oh. Good morning. Didn't notice ya here. My name's Flick." The gnome bows ceremoniously. "Can I help ya?"
"What's happening to Mallory?"
"Oh, this lady? She tainted the soil of our Great Forest, so now we're punishing her. Do you know her?"
"She did what?"
"Lilly, please," Mallory interjects. "I was walking home yesterday, drunk, took a shortcut through the forest. I needed to pee. I didn't realise this was some fairyland shit. Then I woke up a few hours ago, tied to this flower, my clothes gone, and they keep tickling me. Please help!"

Lilly stops to think. What should she do? Should she do anything? Mallory isn't the best of coworkers; more than once she was the reason Lilly didn't get some good gig, or some extra cash. But still, she asked for her help, so maybe she should just forget all that and help her.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. She tries to help her

*Noteb*
2. She decides to get back at Mallory

*Noteb*
3. She just stays and watches what happens

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
