"Good to see you up, instead of thrashing around in your sleep. You must have been having one hell of a nightmare. I was wondering if you were ever going to wake up. I'm Vera, one of the Republic soldiers from the Endar Spire. I was with you on the escape pod, do you remember? "

You woke up from your strange dreams that involved a jedi battle and.. something else, a female jedi that after winning the fight started to act in a somewhat unbecoming way before you woke up disoriented. The woman that woke you up, Vera Jorynd, explained to you how you took a serious blow to the head and have been unconscious for a couple of days, giving you a brief recount of what happened and what your next steps should be.

You're in Taris, a planet under Sith control, and according to Vera, what you should do next is find Bastila, a jedi considered key for the Republic war effort because of her unique ability of Battle Meditation. You were skeptic when Vera said Bastila's ability was capable to tip the outcome of entire battles, but she made pretty clear you were stranded in this planet and finding her would be your best bet to make it out of here.

"I believe Bastila was on one of the escape pods that crashed down here on Taris. For the sake of the Republic war effort, we have to try and find her."

"While you were out I did some scouting around. There are reports of a couple escape pods crashing down into the Undercity. That's probably a good place to start. But the Undercity is a dangerous place. We don't want to go in there unprepared. It won't do Bastila any good if we go and get ourselves killed."

After getting some more information from Vera about the City, the Sith and herself (or trying to, she told you there was no time for that) you felt like you were ready to start exploring the planet. The moment you exited the apartment you witnessed an altercation between two female Duros and a female Sith soldier, and got your proof that Vera was saying the truth with what she shared about the Sith.

Seeing a Duro get gunned down without warning, you step in and manage to subdue the soldier and her droids before they harm the other alien creature. The Duro thanks you excusing herself to tend for her harmed partner, and leaves you free to check the rest of the apartments, start exploring the city or finish dealing with the Sith soldier.
