She brought the bottle to her lips, and then hesitated. Was she really going to try some random potion she'd found off the internet, on the off chance it would attract some guy? Had she really sunk so low?

Suddenly a wave of humiliation washed over her. She hadn't spent much on it, but she'd checked the mail every day since ordering in anticipation of what was most likely just a bottle of colored water, at best.

But what if it isn't? a part of her thought, What if it really does work?

Or what if it's just another pseudo-scientific health craze? Another part of her brain spoke up, This stuff might be really bad for you.

Amy shook her head, unable to compromise between common sense and sense of wonder. At the very least, she decided, she doesn't have to try it right this moment. She could at least get some information first.
